Fort Lauderdale, FL – Local businessman, Monroe Udell, owner of Jaxson’s Ice Cream, is looking forward to a taping of the “Where’s ChucksBucks?” TV Show, hosted by Chuck Ginsburg, on Monday, July 13, 2009, at 5 pm, at his Dania Beach landmark restaurant. “When I first heard Chuck’s concept of local businesses supporting local charities using a fun, reality, game show format, taped right here at my own establishment and with my very own customers as the actual contestants, I was thoroughly intrigued,” said Udell.
“Where’s ChucksBucks?” began when TV syndication veteran Chuck Ginsburg, of "Mr. Food" fame, realized how the world’s economic crisis was affecting not only businesses, but charities as well. “We all know that the services charities provide are needed more than ever,” said Ginsburg, “however, their operating funds and grants are taking a hit along with the businesses whose generosity they have counted upon in the past.”
The show is nationally syndicated across the US, but taped and edited for each local viewing area. Each 2-minute episode is part of a week-long series that is heavily promoted during that week on a local TV station. The local sponsor where the show is taped, makes a financial commitment to a local charity of their choice, such as The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation, for Udell, and that support is promoted within each episode along with additional donations from national sponsors. Customers, present at the time of taping, are chosen at random, and immediately become a contestant with an opportunity to win instant cash and prizes.
“The whole purpose for the show is to help the world’s charities, discover a fun-filled source to additional funds, without having to solicit the public. With the "Where's ChucksBucks?" TV Show as the vehicle to generate these funds, as well as being a new promotional avenue for businesses to share their support for their favorite charity with the public,” continued Ginsburg, “everyone is a winner!”
In addition, each local sponsor receives licensed usage rights for the Internet, enabling them to distribute their segments to the world via their own website along with other search engine, video and social network methods such as Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Local sponsors can also license the rights to use their segments for in-store broadcasts, and online-offline cross-marketing campaigns, including instant coupon delivery to online viewers, voters and contestants wishing to play along at home.
